The members of the ACUC Leadership Levels are those instructors who have obtained such a high level that in addition to training and certifying divers, they can train and certify new ACUC instructors.
Reaching this level is not easy. You must be an excellent professional, have extensive experience as a diving instructor and have a very good knowledge of ACUC’s standards, training methods and procedures.
You must be at least an Open Water Instructor. The next step is the Advanced Instructor level.
THE ADVANCED INSTRUCTOR LEVEL
As an ACUC Open Water Instructor you can obtain the Advanced Instructor level. You will be able to do what an Open Water Instructor (see “ Go Professional ”), and you will also be able to teach, but not evaluate or certify, the Entry Level Instructor level.
To obtain this level, you must be an ACUC DER Instructor and an ACUC O2ER Instructor.

THE INSTRUCTOR TRAINER LEVEL
This is an optional certification. As an ACUC Advanced Instructor you can obtain the Instructor Trainer level. You will be able to do what the Advanced Instructor does (see above), and you will also be able to teach, evaluate and certify the Entry Level Instructor. You will also be able to teach, but not evaluate or certify, the Open Water Instructor level. Also, you will be able to do ACUC crossovers to Instructors from other organizations recognized by ACUC, evaluating and certifying them up to and including the Open Water Instructor level.
To obtain this level, you must have the ACUC Instructor level of the following specialties:
1- Reduced Visibility (for example, Night Diving)
2- Wreck Diving (non penetration)
3- Underwater Orientation
4- Other 2 specialties of your choice

THE INSTRUCTOR TRAINER EVALUATOR LEVEL
The ACUC Instructor Trainer Evaluator level is an honorary certification, therefore there are no training standards or a specific training program. This certification can be obtained by ACUC Advanced Instructors or Instructor Trainers who meet a series of prerequisites. This certification can only be granted by ACUC’s Management, either at their own discretion or at the request of at least two ACUC Instructor Trainer Evaluators. This certification will only be offered if ACUC needs it, therefore, it is not a certification that can be obtained by following specific parameters or training.
Instructor Trainer Evaluators can teach, evaluate and certify all levels of ACUC, up to and including the Instructor Trainer level.
The ACUC Instructor Trainer Evaluator must work, in relation to dive training, exclusively with ACUC, unless something different is previously approved in writting by ACUC’s Management.
