At ACUC we receive daily many emails and calls from divers who cannot go diving because they have lost or forgotten their certification at home. Some find themselves in faraway places, in a dive center that won’t let them go diving because they can’t prove they’re certified. They call us so that we can send them, or the diving center, a document confirming their certification.
Although in ACUC we try to give top priority to this type of calls, we need time to search our records, make the confirmation document and send it by email. This may cause the caller to miss one or more days of diving. Furthermore, if this were to happen on a weekend, or on holidays, when our certifications department is closed, it could cause the person to be unable to dive for 3 or more days, ruining the person’s diving vacation. To avoid this inconvenience, ACUC offers you the “CARE” service. This service is 24/7, that is, it works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To access all you need is to have Internet access and a password that ACUC will provide you. Almost all the dive centers and hotels in the world today have access to the Internet.
